Almost everything is on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you sync. Our server holds nothing about you, so there is nothing there to delete or to send you. You are in control of all of it.
This page lists what JuiceRoute keeps, where, and how to delete it. For what the app sends and why, see the Privacy Policy.
Do this on each iPhone where you use JuiceRoute.
What: where you start and go, dates and times, stops, hotels, and what each plan was built from.
Where: your iPhone, and your own iCloud if you sync. We cannot read them.
Delete: delete the trip in the app. It is removed from iCloud too.
What: your car, hotel programs and status, driving-day rules, and your children's ages if you entered them.
Where: your iPhone only.
Delete: change them in Settings, or delete the app.
Where: your iPhone, and your own iCloud if you sync.
Delete: remove the favourite in the app.
What: a smaller copy of each photo you add (without where or when it was taken), and your note.
Where: the app's own storage on your iPhone. Not synced through iCloud in this version, but part of your iPhone backup if you keep one.
Delete: remove the photo in the app, or delete the trip. Your original photo is never touched.
What: what you recorded a trip cost: amounts, currencies, categories, places and dates, typed in, read from a receipt, or (with "Get charging costs from Tesla" on) from your Tesla charging history.
Where: with the trip: your iPhone, and your own iCloud if you sync. We cannot read them.
Delete: open an expense under "Trip expenses" and delete it, or delete the trip.
What: receipt photos (a smaller copy, without where or when they were taken) and receipt PDFs as you chose them.
Where: the app's own storage on your iPhone, beside your stop photos. Never synced through iCloud; part of your iPhone backup if you keep one. In an emailed report only if you turned on "Attach receipts".
Delete: delete the expense, remove the receipt while editing it, or delete the trip. Archiving keeps them.
Where: a copy in your own iCloud, which the people you invite can open and change.
Delete: tap "Stop sharing". The copy is removed from iCloud; each phone keeps the trip as it last saw it. If you were invited, tap "Leave this shared trip".
What: trip and stop names, planned times and expected charge for trips that aren't over yet. Start and end as town and state.
Where: storage on your iPhone shared with the widget, and on your own Apple Watch.
Delete: it is rebuilt from your saved trips whenever they change, so deleting a trip removes it. Your watch gets the new copy the next time it is in reach of your iPhone. Deleting the app removes it from the iPhone.
Where: notifications set on your iPhone.
Delete: turn "Reminders" off for the trip, or delete the trip.
Where: your own calendar, synced wherever your calendar is.
Delete: delete them in the Calendar app. JuiceRoute can only add events; it cannot read your calendar.
What: your sign-in with Tesla, the car you chose, and what the car reported.
Where: your iPhone only. The sign-in and chosen car are in its Keychain.
Delete: tap "Sign out of Tesla" in the app. You can also remove JuiceRoute's access at any time on Tesla's page for the apps you have given access to. Note: iOS keeps Keychain items after an app is deleted. Nothing else can read it, and JuiceRoute deletes it if installed again, but to end the sign-in for certain, sign out first.
What: two numbers (readings and wakes used) and the month they are for.
Where: your devices, and your own iCloud so your devices share one count. With iCloud off, on the device only. We cannot see it.
Delete: a new count starts each month (by UTC): last month's numbers count for nothing and are replaced the next time the app asks your car anything. Signing out of Tesla does not clear it, so signing in again cannot start the month over. Deleting the app removes it from that device; the copy in your iCloud stays until the app replaces it.
What: numbers such as how many days and stops a planned trip had. Never where you go, your car, or anything that identifies you.
Where: sent to our server.
Delete: they carry nothing that identifies you and are not linked to each other, so there is no way to pick out yours. Turn them off in the app's Settings, under Privacy, to stop sending them.
What: a trip PDF or a "Share my arrival" message you sent to someone.
Where: wherever you sent it. We never have a copy.
Delete: ask the people you sent it to.
Where: with the hotel company, if you booked after tapping "Book".
Delete: ask that company. Its privacy policy applies.
Not kept. It is used on your iPhone when you ask for it, and dropped. ("We need to stop now" sends your position to Apple Maps; it never reaches us.)
Not kept. The offer at the end of the first-run welcome collects nothing. The developer screen, in the developer's own test builds only (not in the App Store or TestFlight version), shows Tesla's nearby-chargers reply on that device and sends nothing.
Our server keeps nothing about you or your car: no account, no trips, no cars, no purchases, no record of requests. It holds only what is the same for everyone: the public charger list and anonymous usage counts that cannot be tied to anyone. There is nothing there to delete or to send you. If you have a question, write to us.
