Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
The short version
- JuiceRoute plans your trip. Your car navigates.
- Times, charge, prices and weather are estimates. Check before you rely on them.
- Never use the app while driving.
- Planning is free. Connected is optional, sold and refunded through Apple.
- JuiceRoute is not made or endorsed by Tesla or any hotel company.
1. Who provides JuiceRoute
JuiceRoute is made and provided by MinimalMuse ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
By downloading or using JuiceRoute, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What JuiceRoute is, and what it is not
JuiceRoute is an iPhone app that plans multi-day road trips for Tesla drivers in the United States and Canada. It suggests where to charge, take breaks, eat and sleep.
- It plans; your car navigates. JuiceRoute is not a navigation system. Use your car's own navigation on the road.
- Everything it shows is an estimate. Drive times, charge levels, charging prices, weather, how busy a charger may be, and what a hotel program offers come from outside sources and from our calculations. They can be wrong or out of date.
- Check before you rely on it. Chargers can be closed, full or slower than expected. Roads, weather and hotels change. Confirm what matters to you, such as a hotel booking or whether a charger is open.
Drive safely.
- Do not use the app while driving. Plan before you go, or let a passenger use it.
- Follow traffic laws, road signs and conditions.
- Follow your car's own guidance about range and charging. If the car and the app disagree, trust the car.
- You are responsible for how you drive, where you charge and when you stop.
3. Not affiliated with Tesla or hotel programs
JuiceRoute is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla, Inc., or by any hotel company or loyalty program (such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, Wyndham, Choice, Best Western or Drury). Their names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say what the app works with.
4. Free planning, and the optional Connected
Planning trips is free and unlimited. JuiceRoute Connected is optional. It links the app to your own Tesla, so plans can start from your car's real charge and you can see free stalls at Superchargers ahead.
- Yearly: $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Monthly: $4.99 a month.
- 30-day trip pass: $6.99, one payment for 30 days. It does not renew.
Prices are in US dollars. Apple shows the price for your country before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: yearly and monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before it begins.
- Free trial: if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and is charged.
- Cancel or manage in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Connected until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple's rules. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can ask Apple through "Report a Problem" on Apple's website.
Purchases are also covered by Apple's own terms, including Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to Apple's; they do not replace them.
5. Connecting your Tesla
- Connected uses your own Tesla account. You sign in on Tesla's own page; we never see your Tesla password.
- Tesla's terms and privacy policy apply to your Tesla account and to what Tesla receives.
- Only connect a car and a Tesla account you are allowed to use.
- You can disconnect at any time with "Sign out of Tesla" in the app, or by removing the app's access in your Tesla account.
- The connection depends on Tesla's service. If Tesla changes or limits it, parts of Connected may stop working.
6. Fair use
Connected includes a monthly allowance of 1,000 live readings from your car and 50 wakes. A reading is one question the app asks Tesla about your car, such as its charge or the chargers near it. Once the month's allowance is used up, the app stops asking your car until the next month begins. Trip planning keeps working.
7. Acceptable use
Use JuiceRoute for your own trips. Please don't:
- break the law with it, or use it to harm anyone;
- interfere with the app or our server, overload it, or try to get around its limits, including the monthly allowance;
- scrape, copy or resell the app's data or service, or send automated requests to our server;
- change, reverse engineer or copy the app, except where the law allows it;
- use someone else's Tesla account without their permission.
Our server keeps nothing about you, so it has no way to block one person. What we can do, and may do, is refuse sign-in requests that misuse the service, and change or stop the service.
8. Your trips and notes
Your trips, favourites, notes and photos are yours. They are kept on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, not with us, so we cannot recover them if they are lost. Keep a backup of anything important. See Privacy and Your Data.
9. No warranty
We work hard to make JuiceRoute useful and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or that its plans, estimates or information are correct, complete or up to date.
10. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows:
- We are not responsible for losses that come from relying on the app's plans or estimates. For example: running low on charge, a charger that is closed or busy, a missed or unavailable hotel room, delays, towing, extra costs, or a trip that doesn't go as planned.
- We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems caused by Tesla, Apple, hotel companies, or other services the app relies on.
- Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid for JuiceRoute in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow these limits. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows, and you keep any rights the law gives you that can't be waived.
11. Changes to the app and to these terms
We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering JuiceRoute. We may also update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using JuiceRoute after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection the consumer laws of the place you live give you.
